Q: Do you have a plan book or Catalog?
No. Everything we do is custom designed and crafted for your project.
Q: Do you offer a designing service?
Yes. We can take your ideas and develop shop drawings or basic floor plans with construction details. We can work with your architect or designer to incorporate timber framing into your project.
Q: Do you have erection services?
Yes. We can supply site erection services. We do not build turn key homes but we will work with your builder to properly erect and incorporate the log or timber work into your project. We pre-assemble all of our timber frame and hand crafted log work prior to shipping. When possible we ship timber trusses assembled. Because of this attention to detail in our shop our assistance is only required on site for complex erections thereby saving you the extra expense. We tailor the services we provide to the services you require.
Q: How far do we ship?
Anywhere! From our shop in Tarboro, NC which is in the eastern part of the state we have already shipped to Oregon, Idaho, Florida, Massachusetts, and the Bahamas.
Q: What is your lead-time?
Under normal conditions a small truss project would require 6-10 weeks. A timber frame home may require 14-16 weeks. Lead times are effected by the amount of drawing required, choice of wood, season of the year, and production schedule at the time of the order.
Q: What Woods do you work with?
Eastern White Pine, Douglas Fir, or White Oak are the most often used Species. We have worked with Cypress, Western Red Cedar, Maple, and Mahogany. We have also worked with recycled woods such as Antique Heart Pine, Douglas Fir, and Chestnut. While species are available “kiln dried” or “air-dried,” most of the wood we use is green. Load requirements, budget, lead-time, and aesthetics all effect the choice of wood for a project. After reviewing your project we can discuss the possibilities.
Q: How much will it cost?
The only way we can give you an accurate quote for your projects is for you to send us sketches or drawings with as much information as you can about what you want to do and a site description. Here is some basic pricing information that may help you in determining if timber work can fit into your budget.
