General Info

TimberFab is a small, specialized wood working company that incorporates skilled craftsmanship into building quality timber frame structures, heavy timber trusses and accurate restoration or reproduction services. Our passion for the craft motivates us to design, and handcraft all of the work that we do focusing on the quality of our work rather than the quantity of projects completed each year. While this is sometimes labeled archaic by the “modern” construction industry, we would rather produce a product that is equated with the best work of the past. Traditional timber framing has withstood the test of time when modern practices are often found to be inferior. We pride ourselves on working with our customers to create a finished product that is exactly what the customer has envisioned, is well executed, and will last forever.

TimberFab, Inc. is the result of over 20 years of experience by owner Kevin Wilson and his staff of craftsmen. TimberFab, Inc. was started in 1992 and has completed over 140 projects in 22 states and the Bahamas.

TimberFab handcrafts timber structures and architectural components just as “housewrights” would have in earlier times using traditional wood joinery (mortise & tenon connections fastened with wooden pegs). Connections are pre-fitted in the TimberFab shop, by hand, using mallet and chisel so that the final assembly of timbers fit together like a piece of furniture. Everything is individually designed, engineered, and crafted for each project. Our team consists of timber framers, cabinetmakers, furniture makers, and restoration specialists. Our specialty is heavy timber roof trusses and roof systems. We also provide consultation services for new construction and restoration work.
